Dear Gretta Rose,

8 months old!

i can't believe you are that old already.

life is so busy lately...

(which is my reason for being soo behind on this post)

we have been dragging you all over the place traveling and enjoying the last month of summer.

you have been quite the trooper!

daddy and i can't get enough of you.

you have us all so enamored and smitten.

that smile seems to control the whole household.

everywhere we go, strangers comment on how adorable you are.

i can't tell you how many times i have heard people say

"that's the cutest baby i've ever seen!"

glad i'm not the only one that thinks so.

must be those big beautiful eyes.

i am tickled that your hair has stayed fairly dark.

maybe i will actually have a child look a little like me. :)

i know you have similar features as your brother and sister,

but it's hard for me to tell what exactly is alike.

so this morning (for fun) i dressed you in the very outfit lexi lou wore for her 8 month shoot.

so fun to see them side by side. 

i can definitely tell you're sisters.

pretty pretty girls.

you adore your brother and sister.

they are getting a lot more comfortable holding you (yikes.)

lex is always picking you up and spinning you around. 

you look up at her and laugh so hard.

little roscoe might be your favorite of the family though.

sometimes just looking at him sends you into hysterics.

i love it.

you love to be rocked to sleep.

officially done nursing...

breaks my heart,

but you seem to be thriving and have actually filled out a lot more since we stopped.

you are sick right now.

quite the little rash on your face and bum.

i can see the canine teeth working their way through.

poor thing.

you are the busiest little bugger.

goodness gracious! 

i can't seem to keep tabs on you.

you are everywhere!

already climbing stairs and standing up to everything.

you hate baby toys.

only thing that seems to interest you is anything dangerous

(popped balloons, marbles, money, outlets...)

or breakable/electronic

(cell phones, glasses, cameras, remotes...)

and everything goes straight to the mouth.

still eating baby food.

everything has to be completely pureed.

such a choker.

every time you wake up from a nap and we hear you cooing,

the kids take off up stairs and jump in the crib with you.

in fact, that is where the three of you are at this very moment while i am writing this.

i love listening to the three of you on the monitor playing.

best music in the world.

sometimes it will entertain you all for an hour.

i just heard daddy too.

i better end this, so i don't miss out on the fun.

oh how we love you darling gretta.

you have changed us.
