growing up gretta

Dear Gretta Rose,
i can't believe we are half way to the year mark!
time is flying, yet i can't imagine life without you,
such an important part of the family.
you are as darling as ever and quite an entertaining lil bugger,
always cracking us up.

you got two little teeth over the vacation.
should have known...pretty darn cranky.
you slept cuddled up to me the whole ten days in bed with us.
as a result, i am pretty sure i may have turned you into the worst sleeper ever.
you were never good, but whoa has it got worse!
i'm still the binky...which i love...and hate all at the same time.
i desperately tried to get you to suck your thumb like cousin lyla,
but to no avail.
oh well.

so happy to say that we are still nursing.
such hard work.
you're welcome.
doing solids about once a day.
you are definitely my messiest eater.
grabbing at your spoon and spitting food everywhere.
not sure much gets in the mouth, but we try.

we have a dr's appt. tomorrow.
you haven't been since 2 weeks old.
haven't immunized your teeny body yet,
probably won't tomorrow either,
but i am excited to hear your stats though.
you are a wee little thing, tall, but itty bitty.

you have gotten so wiggly.
near impossible to hold,
but you want to do just that all day long.
you won't let me sit down to do it either...always want to be stood up.
drives us all crazy.

you are the happiest little thing.
not to mention the cutest.
i swear you draw a crowd everywhere we go.
just yesterday i was shopping at tj maxx when two little ladies approached.
30 minutes (no joke) of cheek pinching, laughing, and shrieking about how adorable you were.
they hardly said boo to me.
even called other shoppers over to take a gander at the 6 month beauty.
you were livin it up too.
smiling and being the little ham that you are.
makes me smile just thinking about it.

also wore your first and probably only bikini you'll ever own (hopefully) over the vaca.
adorable.

i love you more than you can know.

Love,
Mommy

She is such a doll! Way to go on nursing still. What are you doing to keep in going?

Roscoe is so cute in the post below. Good luck with potty training ;)
