Our freedom celebrated

{July 3, 2010}

We walked in the door from camping, got our filthy kids bathed, and police report written when our neighbors came over and told us they were putting on a little 4th of July parade with the neighbor kids. Shawn and I still smelt like campfire, but we knew the kids couldn't miss out, so we hopped on our bikes and headed up.

So darling to watch all the itty-bitty's decorated with some American Pride.

goodness. we love where we live.

We debated staying for the neighborhood barbecue and show, but decided to have our own little celebration, so we grabbed some in and out and headed for the local firework show.

Roscoe's first taste of a hamburger. Couldn't believe it. 

He actually liked it. a lot. But of course the kid has refused meat since.

complete opposite over here. 

We found the perfect spot at the park. We were pretty shocked too, seeming how there were people there staking their seats since mid afternoon. We had our own little space right under the firework show and definitely close enough to sit back and people watch...

saw some good ones too. :)

Have to say it's my favorite holiday (minus the one in december).

I am so grateful to live in this amazing country.
